Mike was the perfect host, extremely friendly and knowledgable. It ended up being 2 other couples along with us, so a pretty small group which was nice. We first toured the vineyards in Chateauneuf-du-Pape and then went into town to a tasting room and sampled a LOT of wines! We ended up buying a case and are doing our best... More

This is my first day EVER to put a review on TripAdvisor, and for 4 years I've felt guilty for NOT posting how wonderful this experience was. Fall 2012, we used Mike not just one full day but two. He is SO knowledgeable and so connected to the local vineyards and restaurants. He took us to great places and paced... More

We have been on other tours and tastings but Mike gave the most interesting and informative tour we have ever been on. Complete with discussions of the Cote d'Rhine label and regions, the grapes used in Chateau Neuf d'Pape and a great tasting with hints on how to taste and serve wine. Worth every penny. 5 stars are not enough!

Mike was absolutely wonderful. We stayed in Arles which was definitely a bit further for him to pick us up and drop us off again, but I'm so glad he agreed. We visited Chateauneuf-du-Pape and on our drive there we got to know each other and Mike gave us some basic information about the Cote-du-Rhone region. He is incredibly knowledgeable... More

This was a day well spent! Mike was happy to share his immense knowledge. And while we know Mike gives lectures on wine, he was also able to talk to people who know very little (me) and those who know even less (my husband). It was a nice way to get to know the area! I'd definitely recommend it!

Wine Safari wasn't the first thing we did during 17 days in France, it wasn't the last -- it was simply the BEST! From arranging our 2 days with Mike RIJKEN to executing them with knowledge, expertise, and professionalism -- everything was perfect, at a remarkably reasonable price! Mike was everything a visitor to France would want as a host:... More

Our goal was to see some of the charming villages of Provence AND taste some of the amazing wines of the Rhone Valley. We were able to accomplish both with Mike's wonderful tour. He is incredibly knowledgeable and very personable. It was exactly the right balance of history, countryside vistas, small village experience, viticulture and wine tasting. Mike's knowledge of... My wife and I contacted Mike through a note in Rick Steves Meditteranean Cruise Port Guide. He picked us up promptly in Marseille and drove us into the Rhone valley stopping at a 12th century abbey with lavender fields and a lovely drive to one of his favorite wineries in the area, Tara. Mike is a master sommelier and it... More

My husband and I, as part of our honeymoon, have made a wine tour with Mike in the Rhone region in mid August 2015. This was one of the best experiences we have had, and a great activity to do for wine lovers and newlyweds :) ! Mike is VERY knowledgeable and taught us history of wine from it's very... More
