Great neighborhood to explore, enjoy the architecture, and look for some place to eat and drink. Very lively in the evening.

Beautiful landmark. Located on a busy pedestrian walkway. Not too far from Cours Mirabeau. Great location for photographs.

We live an hour or so away but this was the first time we'd really spent time there. There are some excellent museums and good shopping. What was disappointing for us was that there is little pre 1600 so not a lot on the towns...More

The tower changes each season with a new statue. Very interesting and quite nice, the center of this very quaint community.

Quaint little city, especially the old town. Which is nearly only pedestrian by the way. Just a lot of road works by now (October 2017). Very hard to find a tank-station around and a lot of buildings needing repairs. 2 days are enough to see...More

No wonder aix is such a popular place to visit, and is such an expensive place. The old town of aix is so charming, and so nice to just walk around in. Be sure to check out all the details

Vieux Aix is about atmosphere and architecture, wonderful old buildings great and small, and unexpected little places like the place des Trois Ormeaux that just beg you to stop for aaminute and contemplate their history. It is a mixture of the ancient and the trendy--stylish...More

Vieil Aix, like most French cities has charm and history associated with it, however we were somewhat disheartened by how unclean it could be when walking around. Dodging pigeon droppings from above and on the ground required a good deal of attention. Add to this...More

Really enjoyed the time we spent just ambling around this beautiful city. It has lovely markets and bakeries. Really worth spending a few days here is you are down this part of France.
