This place is the opportunity to stop after a visit to the market Place Richelme in tbe old city of Aix. They have all sorts of teas, even an ayurvedic kind, coffees, little dry biscuits, sugars. They roast the coffee beans from various parts of the world and sell ground coffee too. And cocoa powder.

This tiny shop sells excellent coffees and teas and serves both at a stand-up counter inside or at a few tables outside, overlooking the daily market. No silly Starbucks style coffee concoctions here -- just fine espressos and cafe au lait. There are many choices of coffees to try at this coffee roaster and you can still get the basic... More

THE place to have a nice and freshly roasted coffee in Aix! Several kinds of coffees. From all over the world. Ice coffee and different sweet cold drinks. Coffee is either strong, mild or without caffein. Just ask. Here you also find the best hot cocoa ever! The little store sells coffee beans, ground coffee (they ask you for what... More

Offering tea, coffee, and hot chocolate, there are always lots of things to choose from and there is always something for everyone. Although my friend said that the name sounds like a crematorium, the real thing is far from being that morbid and is actually surprisingly tasty. It's usually crowded and doesn't always open during regular hours, but hey, you're... More

For some reason this place has annoyingly high-backed chairs. The terrace has its limits, but this is the best coffee in Aix. I love the chocolate things too. You can bring a pastry (that will be from Béchard, get the tropezienne in fact), in the summer the iced coffee is delicious. Always go here before and after the market

Maybe I need to start this review with a disclaimer: My expectations are high when it comes to coffee, and it is possible that good coffee of the Italian variety - espresso that comes with a decent crema, cappuccino that is creamy and smooth - is just not part of France's coffee culture. In any case, I have yet to... More

Whether you want to drink a cup of coffee overlooking the busy market place or to purchase freshly roasted coffee beans ground to order then this is the place to be. The shop is charming, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the coffee is delicious.
