Beautiful building classically designed. The building has a lovely old clock tower and is situated in a picturesque square in the old town. We couldn't go in when we visited but we saw a wedding take place which must be lovely for the bride and groom to be married in such a woinderful building and location.

Another fine example of the rich medieval architecture that dominates the old town. Set in a charming square, the clock tower is a sight for sore eyes

I mistakenly made two reservations for the same dates, and phoned from France to cancel both. When i got back to USA I saw they had charged me full price for one reservation, even though the website recognized both cancellations. Multiple phone calls were unsuccessful in getting any refund for cancelled nights, both to hotel and to booking site. The... More

As all public buildings, they occupy prime locations! The Hôtel de Ville in Aix, a building in the classical style of the middle of the 17th century, looks onto a picturesque square. It contains some fine woodwork and tapestries. Also on the Place de l'Hôtel de Ville is the former Corn Exchange. This ornately decorated 18th-century building was designed by... More

There is something about Aix that just feels right. Cannot put my finger on it. There is a sense of peace, tranquility and sagesse and quality. This is truly one of the best places visited in the south of France

Great to visit here on a Saturday while the flower market is on. Beautiful architecture in a superb town square location. Sip a drink in a cafe & admire the view!

A few years ago we made a Saturday day trip from our base in Avignon to Aix-en-Provence and were so enthralled with the city that this year when we came to Provence we used Aix as our base while we explored southern France. While Aix is itself a beautiful place filled with stunning architecture, Place de l'Hotel was what lured... More
