There are different market there nearly every day. Many cafes and restaurants. This is the centre of life in Aix. When strolling, one should pay some attention on where one's foot land because there are small steps and ground height differences here and there; especially...More

Curiously the fabled Cours Mirabeau is home to a tatty and irrelevant market selling bad clothes and supposedly local products -- soap and lavender. However the more airy and refined cafes allow time to marvel at the impossibly attractive and well groomed French visitors and...More

Great during the day and in the evening, for a relaxed stroll, enjoying the urban atmosphere, with views crowned by the big fountain at the roundabout. Lots of restaurants along the road, at least one good ice cream shop too.

The boulevard is a must see it one: you can walk and chose your souvenirs from the local vendors who are exposing their products every day in the afternoon. Along the boulevard there are lot of terraces, coffee shops, gelateries, luxury brands shops. The street...More

Must visit this area of town when in Aix. Why? Typical French style markets, beautiful picturesque area with great cafes. Great place for people watching.

Walking over Cours Mirabeau is a must. Every evening there is a market and the atmosphere is great. Many restaurants. Les Deux Garcons is a must!

The main pedestrian street in Aix-en-Provence. It is full of cafes and restaurants. In the summer along the entire street there is something like a market for local producers. It's usually full of people.

The market was in a different spot, it was near the fountain. But from what I understand it was to be going back. We were there in April, so I am not sure when the change will be made.

Most historic sites are open especially tourist destinations. It's very much like 4th of July so mostly a business holiday, some museums may be closed so check ahead with the local Bureau de tourisme
