I dont know - may be just been lucky and also not that experienced but for me every thing was perfect. Beautiful mountains, landscape, lot of snow. Not big, but cozy place, not overcrowded. Not expensive. And nice people.

We flew into Nice then took the bus from the airport - less than 2 hours (5 Euro). Stayed at the Hotel Edelweiss - small hotel opposite the gondola and right in the centre. Very friendly hotel with decent facilities, good restaurant and lively bar....More

Great place for one-two days visit from Nice. Plenty of various tracks and lifts. Stunning views on mountains. To avoid crowd don't plan visiting on weekends or French holidays.
