We arrive without appointment and are offered immediately a tour. Several choices there, make sure you have a non-drinking driver! The tour is interesting and educational, you get to know the history (one of the few Grand Marques cognacs still in the hands of the original family, with the current CEO being young and fashionably unshaven). Then, you learn a... More

First, I'll confess that I love Cognac! I don't drink it often usually opting for the cheaper American made brandy. But I drink Cognac whenever I can! We did this as part of a Viking tour which included lunch. But not just any lunch - lunch at the Camus mansion outside Cognac. We were greeted by the Camus host and... More

We arrived around closing time for the master blender session and had a very good experience Pros: - Fantastic service and guides were a delight - Good overview of cognac production - Good packaging and branding of our blend with a nice ceremony Cons: - We were quite disappointed with not trying any Camus cognac! - Selection of only 4... I was lucky enough to participate in the Master Blender Tour at Maison Camus with some friends and fellow students at INSEEC in Bordeaux. We had a wonderful time and learned a lot. Sylvie was a fabulous guide, taking us through the beautiful visitor center, explaining the different classifications, the production of cognac, the blending process and the history of... More

We were a little late for the English tour but they were happy for us to join in which was appreciated and indeed the guide briefly went over things again. The tour was interesting and not in any way rushed and its always good to hear about how each cognac house has developed its USP. The tastings were generous-you can... More

A great way to introduce cognac! Wish we'd gone for the blending tour, we'd have got more out of it.

We have booked our visit to Camus house at touristic center, it costs min 8€ depends on the type of cognac you would like to taste. We took the cheapest one because planned to visit not only Camus :) was very interesting to walk through the history, see the barrels and hear the stories of a Camus family. Nice, recommended.

After reading the reviews, I decided we would take this excursion while on Viking Cruise. I had never had cognac, but felt, when in Rome, or rather in Cognac... it is a very expensive excursion through Viking, but I'm sure if we were Cognac lovers we would have loved it, and felt it was a good value. Certainly it was... More

We visited Camus as part of a tour from Viking Cruise lines. The total experience...how cognac is made, sampling, then making our own Cognac was absolutely amazing.

This was our first visit to a Cognac room, and we had a fun and informative visit with the Master Blender before making our own custom blends. We then got to visit the showroom and taste different types of gin. Would definitely recommend!
