These intricate carvings are lovely but were it not part of a three part ticket purchased with the mushroom caves, we would not have visited. Our visit took no more than 20 minutes with a general “hmmm” reaction.

Beautiful intricate carvings of local places. The detail within the carvings are amazing. We spent approximately an hour visiting here.

Biggest disappointment. Sold as a village and saw churches. Sold as a light show and saw a few spotlights. Not knocking the skill involved in creating the pieces, but at the price of 32euros for a family of 4, I would hope for so much...More

While the carving is well executed I was left a little underwhelmed by this very widely advertised site. The cool of the caves is welcome on a hot day, but unless you have visited the real thing (which we had in most cases) you cannot...More

Worth a visit as the sculptures carved out of the solid rock in the caves represent some of the must see places in this wonderful area of the Loire valley.

Very well presented carvings of some well known and some less well known churches and other local buildings of note. A pleasant interlude if in Saumur as quite close. Continue along the Loire towards Angers to see some lovely villages and views.

This was a very pleasant visit on a combined ticket with the Mushroom Museum 300 metres away. The carvings are really beautiful. We took our time and were in around half an hour. If you have older kids, they are given a wee block of...More

great experience with loads of information in English as well - we bought our ticket when we visited the mushroom caves nextdoor. The young girl in the ticket office was very helpful and interested in where we were from.
