A charming idea - light shows projected, with and without sound, in various locations around the Plantegenet City. Enthralling!

Check dates but certainly every night in August, come and marvel at a very professional lightshow on city walls and buildings. NB Most restaurants are closed on Mondays.

Unexpected and wonderful evening, though wish I had done some research before we stumbled on it as no idea what it was about to explain to kids.. Cathedral show was amazing.

It was a late night for the children as if didn't start until 10pm. But it was well worth it. The Roman wall and north side of the cathedral were the better displays. A bit surreal in places, but definitely entertaining.

An entertaining original light show. Start early enough to wander the old streets and see the displays. I wish we had more time to see all the projections and visit longer. Le Mans gem.

Lovely thing to visit after a dinner, just a shame it was raining and we couldn't see more! A great way to explore an alternative Le Mans

Always a good show, depending on the weather of course. A few new features this year, if you've not seen this before this is well worth taking the time to wander around the old part of Le Mans.

Really worth staying in town late for. We really only caught the Cathedral but that in itself was worth it. We would have liked yo stay longer.

It's really worthwhile to wait for the sun to set and take an evening walk in the old historic centre of Le Mans. Several historical places/buildings are lit and they become the canvas for a truly beautiful sound and light show. You take a stroll...More

Returning from our family holiday in southern France, and scoping out Le Mans for a short stop, I saw La Nuit des Chimeres advertised. Website wasn't very clear on dates as we were at the very end of the season, but we eventually confirmed it...More
