These gardens are a great place to take a break from the mad sightseeing or shopping and just wander through a beautiful relaxing park. They are on the not so attractive side of the river, in what seems to be the suburbs of Rouen.

Rouen doesn't seem to have many parks but I thought this municipal park was magnificent. Divided into various areas, very well tended with some spectacularly large palms and a lovely fountain as a centrepiece it was a real treat. Within a mile of the centre...More

Arrived early in the morning to a very peaceful setting. Just a few people walking through, a few joggers & some students exercising. Although early in the year the gardens were very pleasing on the eye although probably not as colourful as they would be...More

This park is definitely worth to visit. It includes small garden areas with roses, irises, lilies, huge trees and some other plants. One can come here for nice walk, or picnic and enjoy the beauty of nature. There is also playground for children.

Had a walk round on the Sunday morning before setting off home. Lovely sunny day for a relaxing stroll. Lovely planting mixed with mature trees. How a good park should be.

If we had visited this public garden in summer I am sure we should have enjoyed it far more. In March there is little to see (few spring bulbs) and the glasshouses were unfortunately closed.

It is a very beautiful and well treat garden, with some tropical plants, that use to have some thematic events. Good to rest, to read a book and recharge battery, especially during spring and summer time. Should try and it is free.
