Many historical districts throughout the world have restrictive covenants that prescribe the type of buildings that can be built and the types of modifications that may be made to existing structures. Apparently the historical district of Rouen is not one of those places. Even though...More

Even if you are not religious this gem is well worth a visit. Dramatic asymmetric interior with splendid stained glass windows. The outside mimics the flames....

This church has fabulous stained glass windows on two sides of the Church. It is worth to stop and view the windows from the inside. You will be truly impressed.

Found in the Place du Vieux Marche, the church of Joan of Arc was closed the day we visited. However, we spotted her statue as well as the place where she was burnt on 30th May 1431.

This church is really modern compared to the rest of the town. The strange shapes (inside and outside) make it stand out in the middle of the square. Inside you can see all the amazing glass work. It is not ostentacious, its just right.

A one of a kind church with beautiful stained glasses and architecture. Do take a seat inside and admire the details while contemplating on the achievement of Saint Joan of Arc.

This place is absolutely beautiful. It stands right next to a huge cross marking the exact spot of Joanne of Arcs death. The stainglass and the shape of the church are just beautiful.
