Our pilgrimage group visited the basilica and was blessed to have mass in the crypt chapel. The basilica is so beautiful and we also visited the tomb of the recently canonized Saints Louis and Zellie Martin.

The basilica is just a most colourful and amazing piece of mosaic art. Don't miss a visit to the crypt, just beautiful. A wonderful modern example of church architecture. Be there on the hour the chiming of the bells is not to be missed.

Amazing basilica that brings to mind the size and beauty of the giant Roman churches. Probably the most colourful and beautiful mosaic frescoes in France. Definitely worth the drive from Paris. A must see when visiting Normandy.

We were't pilgrims, though there were lots of them here, but you have to be awed at how beautiful this modern church is. Amazing construction, very serene, beautiful mosaics and majestic interiors.

I was about halfway through reading The Story of a Soul, St. Therese's autobiography, when we took our trip to northern France. This made our short pilgrimage to Lisieux delightful and memorable. The Basilica is gorgeous, and I loved all the mosaics. St. Therese would...More

Depends on your starting point, just a couple hour train ride from Paris. If you start early enough you can continue about 20 minutes to the coast for dinner on the water.
