Without doubt it is "magic" to know that you are where Monet painted, in his gardens and house. In late June the gardens were very colourful, they are also well maintained. BUT on our first day we arrived mid afternoon and the place was heaving,...More

This is great place to visit if you are interested to understand what makes an artist tick. One or two things to keep in mind is buy a ticket on-line which allows to cut the line. Another thing to note is to get up early...More

As stated by previous posts, the earlier the better. The past Weds. was hot, but clear. Good for photo taking. We drove by car, and got a bit lost due to a GPS mis-location. Because we came from a different direction, we got free parking...More

The gardens are meticulously maintained. The Water lily pond is just out of his paintings. Home is quaint and well maintained. Some early photos and impressionist paintings make this a real treat.

Monet’s gardens are quite exquisite. It’s was taking a walk thru the Impressionism Era. It was surreal and the surroundings made Monet come to life. The Japanese garden with the water lilies were my favorite. You would definitely become inspired. Come early because it becomes...More

If you are a gardener, love flowers and specially if you like impressionist painting, this place is like living in one of Monet's painting. It is an easy commune from St Lazare station. We stayed in Giverny for 2 nights, that way we can take...More

We bought the tickets at the door. The entrance to the house is small and there was a queue when we arrived at 9 am. But it did not take long to enter, maybe 15 minutes. However, we noticed that if a bus arrives the line... More
