A poignant memorial to the fallen British and other nationalities of the Second World War. Located close to the city centre of Bayeux this haven of peace and tranquility is an ideal place to stop and pause a while in contemplation and reflection.

Of the three big war cemeteries in Normandy this is, for me, the most emotional as each headstone has a message from the soldier's family, making it a very personal tribute. Flowers around each grave add to the atmosphere.
