We spent about 3 hours at the museum which was enough time to see it all including a 25 minute movie in their cinema. The museum focuses specifically on the battle of Normandy and covers it in great detail. Lots of tanks, guns and other old war machines. Definitely worth an afternoon there

Tanks, trucks, jeeps, mannikins with period uniforms, firearms, anti aircraft guns, etc.... It's all here & what you'd expect. Right throughout the exhibition, there are notes written in French & English about the commanding generals from both sides who led the brave men & women of whom nearly a million folk lost there lives on both the allies & the... The Museum of the Battle of Normandy focuses solely on D-Day and the battles to wrest control of Normandy from the Nazis. A well-designed and somewhat compact museum, the museum can be visited quickly in 30 minutes or lingered over for a long time. The visitor first sees tanks and artillery on the grounds outside the museum, goes through a... More

Very interesting visit that explains the timeline and what both sides were doing on any given day. Even a red British telephone box outside.

Relatively small but very well laid out, we all learned a significant amount of new information about the landings on the beaches and the subsequent fighting through the fields - and the hedgerows - of Normandy.

We were very impressed by the displays and information available at this Museum. Having a father and uncles who were in Normandy during WW2 made this visit extra special and enhanced our understanding of what all of the soldiers went through. The tanks, armored vehicles, weapons, uniforms, film footage and static displays really paint a clear picture. Emotional and educational,... More

The museum and the people of France exhibited thankfulness for the rescue by Americans and other allied forces. The museum had a lot of equipment and photos on display. We watched two films with actual footage of WW2 activities. The museum gives a strong emotional understanding of the sacrifices made by thousands of soldiers.

The museum really gives the feel of the events with a range of exhibits on offer. Even the 2-year old was captivated.
