Spread over three floors. The Millet exhibition was an eye-opener, never having heard of the artist before. Well-presented exhibits.

The tickets were 7€ and 4€ the reduced for students. The museum was very nice and big, could easily spend 2 hours there. I just don’t get why the explanatory labels/information for every painting are only in french. I get that there is audio in...More

I’m sorry to rate this beautiful museum so low. This in spite of being wowed by the extensive and lovely Millet exhibit currently in the museum. The building is stunning, the spaces often breath-taking. What is really frustrating: the often terrible exhibits in the permanent...More

We were lucky to visit during the special exhibition of Millet paintings. The gallery must have done some good bargaining to acquire some of these paintings on loan. Very good.

Very nice art museum. Many famous names are represented in the museum, although it aren't always the masterpieces of the famous names. The building itself is a fantastic neoclassical building which made the artworks shine more. It was more than worth my 7 euros!

The museum is very roomy and on a much more modest scale ,in terms of number of exhibits, than expected. However it contained works by Manet, Monet, Turner , Constable, Van Gogh, Ruebens, Breugl,Goya, Rodin and Renoir so clearly was well worth the visit. A...More

Lovely museum. Beautiful architecture. Good mix of contemporary, modern and older art but much of the museum is under construction. I didn't pay to enter so that was good. I'd come back if ever in Lille and construction finished.

Lille's Beaux-Arts is a must visit for any tourists to Lille. First there is the building itself. While the exterior of the building is half covered in scaffolding (no surprises there - so are half the historic buildings in France at the moment!) the interior...More
