This area used to be where locals did their laundry and landed fish. There is easy access to the river and some cafes. It's also where boat trips leave for sights of Toulouse from the riverside, including a taste of the Canal du Midi

This is certainly one of the favorite in Toulouse, a very fine late afternoon walk from the Place Saint-Pierre to the La Daurade…

We had been told to get to Pont Neuf for the sunset and the views, but we were not expecting the whole vibrant atmosphere in the Quai de la Daurade area. Young folk everywhere socialising with no hint of any trouble or intimidation. The walk along the Quai de la Daurade was wonderful and the sunset was great to view.... More

Here is a beautiful quay to spend a few minutes or an hour or two, taking in the expansive view of the Garonne.

A stroll along the quai and river Garonne in Toulouse is highly recommended to get the feel of French life in the city. Nice atmosphere, families, friends, parks, picnics, drinking, conviviality French style.

Nice access point to the Garonne with a view of the Pont Neuf. Good for strolling around the river banks. Playground. Boat tours leave from here and there's lots of activity in the area

Like so many riveran cities in Europe Toulouse has a superb promenade very well maintained, popular with locals and a good occasion to admire the sunset through Pont Neuf arches.A superb location to create few very memorable moments.

always available as a walkway along the river, the quai is adjacent to an old power plant where the University of Toulouse is sited and where the Canal du Brienne meets the Garonne. During the summer months of June and July this area is a place for dancing, concerts, sunning... generally a beehive of activity.
