You can either walk, bike or run along the canal. A great path to get to the center and avoid roads. Always green with lot of trees. A must see also when visiting Toulouse. Very pretty canal and a pleasant walk.

The canal is short and not that pleasant to reach or walk next to. It has relatively few steps to access it- you can find yourself walking next to it for sometime with no easy way back to the streets!

you can enjoy watching the boats going or floating on the canal and walk along...so pretty with the poplar trees making sounds. didn't see much people though and needs to be bit clearner..but i guess that's everywhere in french cities so.

I happen to love the Canal du Midi and have traveled it twice. So, how fun, to arrive in Toulouse (on a river boat or as a tourist) and find this canal that was built, and opened in 1776, to connect the Garonne River with...More
