We were very pleasantly surprised and extremely impressed with Bemberg's private collection of paintings. The first floor of the Hotel Assézat with 7 rooms is dedicated to his Renaissance European collection with some Asian pieces. The second floor with his collection of impressionist/post impressionist works made this visit very worthwhile for us. I will definitely come back to visit this... More

This was an interesting stop with some interesting art but if you've been to the D'Orsay museum in Paris, this is less impressive repeat.

The museum is situated in a very beautiful renaissance building. The rooms are thematic and tasteful painted and arranged. This is not a big collection but it contains several master pieces. There is a pleasant semicovered café in the court yard protected from noise, winds and hot sun.

Visited this museum on a cold winter's day and had the place to myself. Very charming with many different rooms, themes, and pieces. Definitely worth a visit.

The Georges Bemberg collection is housed in a beautifully restored Sixteenth century grand town house attributed to the Toulouse architect, Nicolas Bachelier, and belongs to the city of Toulouse. Bemberg himself, who died in 2011, was a wealthy Argentine, whose eclectic and highly sophisticated taste - and ability to purchase! - has provided the city with an outstanding collection of... This is a new museum- The collection of one man who actually came from Argentina and lived in NewYork and Paris and died only three years ago. The collection is housed in an AMAZING building that acts as the perfect foil for a varied, but quality selection of artworks- including sculpture, ceramics and bibelots- representing his collecting interests. We loved the idiosyncrasies of this collection of art, sculpture and furniture - every room contained things that intrigued and delighted. We especially enjoyed the Venetian room, with its Canalettos and Guardis. You can easily spend several hours browsing the collection.

So I have been to all the museum in Toulouse and this is definitely my favorite one. The museum is located in the city-center, in a wonderful mansion. Not only do you get to see different sculptures, furniture (...) but you also walk around the property and discover a fantastic piece of architecture.. Double the experience, double the pleasure!
