The exhibition is excellent - especially the fossil collection. But my wife loved the armour in the display of the person from Kirabatis. There were so many things to like. There was a special exhibition about dogs and cats. All in all it has to be one of the great natural history museums

The museum is like the Tardis - it looks small from the outside but is immense inside. We visited for 3 hours and it wasn't long enough for us. The displays are modern, inviting, immersive and ideal for children. Information in english for most displays. We were fortunate that when we visited there weren't many children around so we were... This is a brilliantly curated natural history museum with excellent labels if you read French. Its outstanding features are the spiral botanical garden outside, the glass wall with its animal and fish skeletons and the galleries - one about biodiversity, one on geological evolution, one on biological evolution and the one I have revisited three times - about what we... We underestimated this museum. It was such fun despite the lack of English explanation. We spent a good 2-2.5 hours here and you could extend that time if you looked at every single thing, took a coffee break in their café or paid extra for the new exhibit (which involved games about dogs and cats). Great for visitors of all... More

Visited with our 4 yo who was very excited all along the visit by the variety of animals and animals skeletons displayed. Will likely visit again as she grows old as I am sure she would get to appreciate the more grown ups aspects of it.

This is also known as the Musee de Toulouse. We got here too late -- 4:30 -- to do justice to the entire museum. Instead we focused on the exhibition about dogs and cats. We found it to be fascinating and recommend it unreservedly. We have two cats, but we learned a lot we did not know. Afterwards we wandered... More

Very impressive beautiful exhibits from the natural sciences and anthropology. The amount of displays of birds, insects, reptiles, marine life, seeds, mammals and minerals is overwhelming. The vast display of skeletons is really well done. My favorite skeletal display is the human riding a horse. The exhibits are in French but are still interesting even if you don't understand the... Our family had our 12 and 14 year old children choose this attraction to visit. They were most excited, but were so disappointed when they thought they would never be able to enter. We spent about half an hour just trying to find it, working our way through the gardens, which were beautiful but had no signs. They only had... More

The museum is a nice, cool diversion on a hot day, but I can't understand much French, so I looked at the pictures and models. The food in the cafe is excellent, though.

You really have to plan plenty of time for this one! And if you can: plan luncheon as well, the restaurant is good, and with nice weather you can sit outside in the wonderful garden. Don't forget to visit the small but lovely botanical garden with labyrinth and games. There's a lot to do and discover for kids. Really liked... More
