Lovely afternoon for all the family
Jul 2019 • Family
We went along to this museum as it was a rainy afternoon and they were great. 3 generations all entertained and engaged. I was worried that our children would get bored (2 nine year olds) but they had a great time. There are volunteers who can’t spend enough time talking you through all the different toys and letting everyone engage with them wherever possible. The gentleman who helped us was really lovely and went out of his way to speak English and engage with our boys. A real gem and bargain for an afternoon out.

One and a half hours to get here and it was well worth it
Jul 2019 • Family
We where looking for something to do with a teenage boy and a grand mother and found this place on TA.
We traveled 1.5 hours to get here & it was a fantastic day out. We spent more then 2 hours here, being shown round by the owner, who spoke very good English and was a great chap. We could handle some of the toy & he give us a fantastic insight in to there history.
The place was easy to find & has good free parking. Only £5 each to get in, it was a bargain.
Well worth a visit if you are in the area (or not) in our case.
You won’t regret it.

Lovely little museum

We visited on a hot August day with our large family group of 11. You are expected to be shown around by volunteers, so don’t let your children run off. Adults and children alike really enjoyed our visit and especially playing in the children’s corner at the end. Good value at 31€ for all 11 of us too.

So welcoming and kind

It was a really hot day so we made the very hot walk out of town and their air conditioning was such a wonderful break from the afternoon sun for my two year old, husband and I. They have a mixture of toys in cabinets, open displays like little trains and also a free play area where kids and parents can get stuck in without having to whisper “don’t touch!” every two minutes.
We had a personal tour, in English from one of the volunteers. As far as we could tell, everyone is a volunteer and you can really tell they love seeing the joy on children’s faces. We had a demonstration of the model trains with explanation on which country they were from and how old. They had steps for little ones to see better too.
My daughter loved the puppet show we did, driving a little car around the aisles of the museum as it was quiet ( France we’re playing in the World Cup!) and having stops where we would get out and see the next toy, be it a tin wind up or a special model, all guided and explained for us.
A great, hidden treasure pit stop with children of all ages and you’ll no doubt find things from your own youth there too. No cafe ( didn’t bother us) but a toilet and small gift shop with toys to buy. So glad we came by to say hello.
