I left this art museum feeling frustrated. However, if you're interested in obscure, movement art and words randomly on walls...this might be your thing.

Maybe not as impressive as some of his other projects such as the Millennium bridge in London or the Millau bridge in France. Still a very functional and likeable building. The exhibition about minimalist movement was not my cup of tea. The permanent collection has...More

This modern art museum, gallery and city library is directly opposite the Maison Carree, and was designed by Norman Foster and opened in 1993. It is made of glass, concrete and steel and is an affectionate riff on the temple's architecture. It has about 400...More

The museum as such is not big and the art offer not special, what the building has is a wonderful library and a restaurant that I haven't visited unfortunately but it promises to have a good view of the Maison Carre building.

This is a really beautiful building (designed by Norman Foster), worth a visit if only for that ...... but there's much more. An extensive lending library, newspaper and magazine free reading room (with good armchairs), art gallery and museum. If you come to Nîmes, don't...More

An interesting space with a good number of traveling exhibit. The snack/bar on the last floor allows you to see the "Maison Carré" from above, which is interesting in itself.

Quite a small monument but very interesting to visit and get explanations on its history. Located in the center of the city, good to be done before to go to the arenas

Interesting building with not just art displays but libraries and reading rooms too. Very contemporary art that in the main was a bit of a mystery to me. Worth a short visit
