We can thoroughly recommend Le Petit Train Touristique. We took the trip early in our stay and found it to be very useful for getting an overview of Collioure. The first coach commentary was in English and the tour took us into the vineyards and along to PortVendre. This gave us the opportunity to have some idea of the landscape... More

Took the Petit Train from Centre Ville to Le Fort Saint Elme -- tiny engine carries you straight up the side of a mountain! Completely lovely.

We don't usually do this sort of tourist trip but in the heat we thought it would be a good way to climb the hill for the view. Well wow! We really enjoyed the trip. The narrative gave us a lot of information on the area and we found it to be excellent value for money

We got caught out in the rain without proper equipment and the train was sitting there with a few passengers on it, so we jumped on to get out of the weather. The driver was very nice and let us buy a ticket after the fact (you are supposed to have one before boarding) The tour took us WAY up... More

We did a few others petit train in France but this one is our preferred one. The train climb the hills and you can have a nice view of the Golf du Lion. Amazing to pass through the small ways between grapes. Very interesting explanation given with jokes and fun by a famous local person ( I don't know his... More

We went here as a family of nine. My nephew who is 4 has an obsession with trains and absolutely loves all trains so we have been on a few!! Although it was a bit bumpy at 8 Euros each it was fantastic value for money. It lasted around 45 mins and it stopped at the top of the mountain... More

With a spare hour or so we decided to take this trip and boy where we pleased we did. what a fabulous way of seeing the local scenery, views, sights and learn a bit about the history of this area. Would recommend this to everyone as well worth the money and a great way to expand your view of Collioure

Usually these rides are around the town, but this was really different. We went up into the mountainous hills and past the vineyards. The first carriage was for English speakers, so no need for headphones, while the other 2 carriages were for French speakers. We stopped at the highest point by the fort and were able to get off and... More

This is a fun activity to do especially with children and I liked the fact that you could get recorded commentary in English. The commentary had a slight crackling sound but we could hear it well enough. The train departs from Collioure and follows an undulating road towards the top of the mountain were Fort Elme is located. Passengers are... More

Normally we would not do this type of tourist train but thought this was a chance to get a view of Collioure from the fort. It was fantastic. The train was bumpy along the roads but that was fine. The commentary, in French but English was available via a recording, was very good. The views were great and, as another... More
