Visited Paris for the RWC, great choice of food, very busy but nice atmosphere. Within walking distance of the metro and very handy

After our great walk (coulée verte/promenade plantée), we went around lunch time to Ground Control (opens at 12 am).
In an ex - railway depot/atelier you find a very very huge kind of food court/street food.
A lot of choice, all kind of drink and food options ...
For lunchtime it was very busy with local people.
We just had a drink and enjoyed seeing "something different".
"Recycled" airplane where you can have a drink, crazy decoration and ambience 🤪
Prices are not cheap, it's selfservice with deposit on the plastic "glasses".
This exceptional place offers also events, concerts, etc (in Sept.23 public viewing/rugby cup).
But, be warned! Kind of shabby, scruffy ... "industrial site" ! Entrance looks also very special 😉

A surprise discovery when staying in Paris. A nice place to stroll with family.

In a converted mail warehouse at the Gare de Lyon, a trendy area full of various street food places and bars. Interestingly rail themed (we sat by 2 full size TGV models) and lots of fun.

Nice temporary use of this really big part of the Gare de Lyon. Lots of choices for drinks and meals, and some galleries and shops. Staff is mostly very welcoming and friendly. Seating can be limited outside if there's after work groups coming.
For me it was strange how much they checked my (and only my) bag upon entering the area. That was the only thing that really bothered me.

I liked this place for its wide open space, casual concept and food drinks available
The security are strict in checking for outside food drinks etc which is understandable
They should have more drink bars available as the queues were very long compared to food stalls which were much quicker

Perfect place to grab a drink or an afterwork bite with friends. Everyone will get for their taste : beer, wine, cocktails... or try some of the comfort food available, or try the really tasty burger.

What a great variety of food in this multicultural center. I especially recommend the refugee kitchen (right now with Syrian Chef Karachay), Solina for fresh pasta, and Chilam for Mexican.

Fun place and concept: an old warehouse with foodtrucks inside and outside. I had the occasion to taste food from an association that helps refugees and it was great. I had a delicious ceviche and a riz au lait. Came back a second time in June and had a very tasty pita. A bit expensive though.
