This artificial island close to ten meters long and nearly a kilometer, is between the bridges of Grenelle and Bir-Hakeim. Created in 1825, this place is unusual and pleasant walk with a few hundred trees. Most athletes improvise a training session outdoors, with views of the Eiffel Tower, thanks to the many sports facilities (play area, climbing walls, stationary bikes... More

The Ile aux Cygnes is a small man-made island in the middle of the River Seine. It is located not far from the Eiffel Tower. The island is easily reachable through the Pont de Bir-Hakeim or the Pont de Grenelle. The most prominent landmark on this lovely island is the famous replica of the Statue of Liberty. The tree-lined path... More

We decided to take this stroll within the River Seine, towards the lady, and we were not dissapointed. First of all, it was a totally parisien experience, since no tourists accompanied us, but many locals were there for jogging or with their dogs. It took us about half an hour. The surrounding area is less beautiful than in the center,... More

A nostalgic trip for an American and fun for everyone, a small version of the Statue of Liberty sits on the point of the Ile des Cygnes/Isle of Swans off the Pont De Grenelle bridge. The island contains one of the many small city parks that residents use to enjoy the outdoors so also offers a bit a native perspective.... More

My wife loves New York, I've never been, and on our second trip to Paris we were determined to see the Statue of Liberty. We'd seen it from the Eiffel Tower twice. We walked from the Eiffel Tower, about a twenty minute walk so we could get some pictures. There's not a lot there. A beautiful photo op of the... More

We somewhat stumbled upon this gem in Paris, right down the road from the Eiffel. I cannot express how beautiful it is this time of year! The pictures don't do it justice. This is the place for a peaceful stroll through the changing leaves, surrounded by the Seine and with the Eiffel as a backdrop.

Cool island! Paris has way more to offer, so come here only if you have time. Small Liberty Statue is the most interesting attraction here.

A beautiful walk, especially during the fall and winter, with cool air, taning leaves, and beautiful views of Haussmannian buildings in the 16th, the art deco-like structure of the Bir-Hakeim bridge, and the tour Eiffel.

I'd seen the Ile des Cygnes on my map and thought it would be worth a look. The walk starts with a look at a small replica of the Statue of Liberty. Then a stroll along a tree lined 850 man made strip in the Seine. It's an interesting way to approach the Eiffel Tower and it beats walking by... More
