This tiny tip of Pont Neuf may be the perfect spot to sit with some wine and cheese and watch the life on the Seine from both banks, all while sitting under the fairy-like branches of a weeping willow. A great place to rest for...More

Small area on the tip of the Ile de la Cite on the River Seine in Paris. The square is a small area that overlooks the River and the Pont Neuf and can be an area of calmness.

Square du Vert-Galant is a tiny garden and grassed area at the bottom of Pont Neuf with views across to the city and the original lock bridge. It’s a nice little square, no one was there when we visited so it was nice and quiet,...More

You are probably here for Pont Neuf and the lovers locks, but, this Square is a perfect backdrop to the setting, and worth making your way down to explore.

While walking in Paris, along the "route" a stop at Pont Neuf Bridge is a hoot. AKA, Lock Bridge, there are probably 100s of thousands of locks placed on the bridge. Take a look at the pics.If you're a romantic and with your "honey", take...More

When the Seine runs high, this pretty square at the end of Ile de la Cite is submerged in flood waters. The floods don't seem to damage the pretty landscaping. Great views of the river from here and the passing river traffic.

I would recommend anyone who goes to Paris to stop by the Love Lock Bridge and put a lock on it. Lock your love on a bridge in Paris LOL!. Each lock comes with three keys; I threw one in the water, one for me...More

This little park is located on the western edge of the Ile de la Cité (where you can find Notre-Dame). It's not very crowded (mind you didn't go on a hot summer day) and therefore can be quite peaceful.

I've often looked down at this small, lovely, public park when walking across Pont Neuf and vowed to take a closer look at the grassy expanse someday. On a recent visit to Paris, I finally descended the steep steps, behind the bridge's equestrian statue of...More

You'll find this pretty square down below the Port Nerf and the statue of Henri IV. Lovely views of the Seine, Louvre and several bridges. Romantic. It floods when the level of the Seine is high.

Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very
heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité,
sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of
Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the
site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held
before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic
Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the
Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island,
