Great Cinema
Mar 2019
Went and saw Captain Marvel here and I really enjoyed my time here. Great interior, and loved the fact that there was a library and DVD shop attached also. My only gripe is that the staff could have been more friendly.

Great cinema
Sep 2018 • Friends
I thought it was weird that a cinema was in a library but it really is just like any other cinema. The seats are comfy, if not the comfiest I've been to. We enjoyed the Incredibles 2 here. Would revisit especially at €4.90 for under 26 - they didn't ask for id either.

Fun evening
Jul 2018 • Couples
Enjoyed our evening out with our adult kids even though we saw different movies. This is a huge cinema with lots of movie choices.

A nice and trendy shopping and cinema place
Dec 2017 • Family
The MK2 Bibliothèque is adjacent to the Bibliothèque nationale. It has many theaters with lots of seating. It is very crowded in the evening for show and snacks. Make sure you buy your Movie tickets in advance.

While waiting for your show time, it's fun to explore the innovative gift shop, which has lots of books, DVDs, toys, and other fun stuff.

At the entrance, MK2 has a Bistro type restaurant with great and delicious Crepes. Make sure to have a taste. I miss them already

Large Movie Theatre, Cool Gift Shop
Jul 2015 • Friends
The MK2 Bibliothèque is right next door to the Bibliothèque nationale. It has large theaters with lots of seating, but you definitely want to buy tickets early for popular movies that have just come out. While waiting for your show time, it's fun to explore the giant gift shop, which has lots of books, DVDs, toys, and other fun stuff.

The seats were comfortable but could use some updating. One in our row had nasty stains on that I definitely avoided. We had trouble finding the restrooms afterwards, too.

The surrounding neighborhood itself is not the best. We decided to walk to Bercy from the movie theater afterwards, and the walk seemed a bit dirty and somewhat unsafe. Next time, I'll take the metro instead.

MK2 Bibliothèque definitely has its perks, but it's not quite the "movie experience" I was expecting.

Get tickets from sweet shop inside
Aug 2015 • Friends
Decent cinema, big, clean, films shown in original language. Cheap if you're under 26. You can get tickets at the sweet/drink shop inside and avoid queuing at main ticket booths, its much quicker but no one seems to think of it!

Cinema, video store, and small restaurant
Aug 2013 • Couples
Since we were staying at the Ibis Styles Bibliotheque, this cine complex is a short walk away. There is a very well stocked video store, where I can pick up films that I just cannot find in the USA ( I have rigged my DVD player to play Region 2 DVD's )

There is a small snack bar, if you want a light meal before a film. I went to see Francois Ozon's latest film, "Jeune et Jolie" ( Young and Pretty ). I purchased some vouchers from a young lady, while waiting in line, so we got in for half price. The cinemas have very comfortable seating, but I do not think that they are air conditioned ( odd, since they were constructed within the past 10 years - I remember when they opened ). Not sure if this film will ever find an American distributor, as it is a fairly explicit tale of teenage prostitution.

Best cinema in Paris
Jun 2013 • Friends
My favourite cinema in Paris!
It's cheap for people under 26, there are a lot of films and many versions of them.
And I love to get there early, get my tickets when there is no crowd, and wait for my fims in the shop, when you can find books, dvds, uncommon food and gadgets !
In the evening there is also a food truck in front of the cinema, so cool !!

Most Comfortable Cinema Ever
Jun 2013 • Solo
Ultra-comfortable; even the smaller screens are a decent size; well-behaved audiences (I was there for a packed evening screening of a very slowly paced, two and a half hour Japanese film, and the audience couldn't have been quieter and more attentive). Tip: if you're going to an evening screening, especially at the weekend, allow plenty of time to queue for tickets.
