We came to the market on a sunday afternoon. Large variety of stalls, fish, cold cuts, cheeses. Recommend to taste the oysters. Prices are reasonable and one could find little presents, food for a midday picnic. Easy to get to (Metro station Bastille).

We visited the Bastille market our first "full" day in Paris and it was lovely. We could've spent all day there. So many shops, from food, wine, scarves, purses. It was lovely. We picked up some wine, meat, cheese, a wine opener of course, scarves...More

Bastille / Oberkampf
Bastille and Oberkampf are lively parts of town made
for entertainment. During the day rows of unassuming
bars welcome customers for a bite or a drink, but it’s
at night this area really comes to life. Students and
young professionals fill the busy bars around Bastille
and Oberkampf. At Place de la Bastille, crowds flock
to the Opéra Bastille in the evening and groups wait
for coveted tickets during the day. Towards

Bastille market is... a market. You can buy fruits, vegetables, flowers, fish and different kinds of meats. You can purchase bread or sample various kitchens. If you're looking for cheap make-up, look elsewhere.
