I had followed trip advisors advice and booked the tour the second day of our trip. What I loved about Lisa is that everyone knows her. So many people would randomly say hi to her. We were lucky enough to have Lisa all to ourselves on our Flavors of Paris tour. We loved all the locations we visited and appreciated the personalized attention. She gave us a lot of history of the area and the shops we visited. All shops welcomed us in and were very helpful. The variety of foods we got to sample... More

A friend and I were the only ones on the tour. Lisa was great and took us to 4 places for sampling some wonderful things: pastries, then jams, mustards, honeys, after that a chocolate and caramel store and we ended up at a Creperie for a salted butter caramel crepe which was the highlight of the tour! I highly recommend... More

My wife and I were the only people on our tour. We have been to Paris many times. We had great fun and learned a great deal. Lisa is a wonderful guide. The only negative was the olive oil shop where the shop keeper was totally inhospitable. Lisa should find another olive oil shop. Highly recommend.

Lisa picked us up and took us on an amazing adventure through the streets of Paris. We tasted food from places that we never would have found without her guidance. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the places that we walked passed and visited as well as a great knowledge of the foods we were trying. If you... More

Walking around St Germain in itself was a highlight of our trip but tasting local foods in places we would not have found or entered was amazing - great information and a comfortable pace made this 3 hour afternoon well worth the money. The hot chocolate was incredible! Thanks to Lisa for completing a great trip to Paris for us.

We (7 of us) took a tour with Lisa. It was so wonderful! We visited shops and walked places we wouldn't have found, but enjoyed so much! The people at the shops were delightful, especially Annie at the Orange Store. We tasted bread, macaroons, mustard, vinegars, olive oil, hot chocolate, cheese and charcuterie. Every place we went was unique and... More

Lisa was great, she was very accommodating to my 11 year old son who has Celiac disease, and made sure he had gluten free treats to try. A wonderful way to try lots and lots of things we could have never tried otherwise. Was able to get a lot of treats for gifts to bring back to the States. Loved... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
