About
The Carrousel du Louvre, located right in the heart of Paris, in the first arrondissement of the City of Lights, is, without doubt, a premier shopping destination. It is open all year long, 7 days a week (including Sundays) from 10am to 8 pm, and is home to a variety of restaurants and more than 40 premium stores including Apple Store (the first Apple Store in Paris) and Printemps du Louvre (showcasing leading luxury brands with top-of-the-range watchmaking on the mezzanine floor). The Carrousel du Louvre is a uniquely designed iconic venue, with its famous Inverted Pyramid, a fantastic architectural feat by Pei (where fans can explore the mysteries of Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code or take the perfect selfie to keep as a special Paris memento), its Charles V Hall walls, its Comédie Française studio theatre and its conference and exhibition centre. Culture runs deep in its DNA making it a cultural site to be visited on its own account! The Carrousel du Louvre can be accessed from the Louvre Museum (at the end of your visit when you leave through Allée du Grand Louvre), 99 Rue de Rivoli, the Tuileries Garden (North and South stairways) and also by direct access to the Palais Royal Musée du Louvre metro station (lines 1 and 7).

Unlikely place
Jan 2020
We would have say having a shopping mall, under the Louvre seems mont of unlikely places to have a mall, however as they say build it and they will come, are truer words, it is actually really nice, well laid out, plenty of variety to keep the punters happy.

Nice park
Nov 2019
This carrousel right in front of Louvre has a huge ark, a big street side and underground shopping and also has a big Ferris wheel. Unfortunately, the wheel is very slow for a thrill ride. Eateries and stalls provide good service.

A very special place under the Louvre
Oct 2019
Carrousel du Louvre is situated under the Louvre so to speak. the building is impressive with an upside-down pyramid in the Middle near the entrance of the Louvre museum. the shops in this underground shopping center are highly sophisticated with popular brands that sell for all kinds of prizes. Twice a year they organize a big Art S. hopping event. Galleries, as well as artists, come and present their artworks. For artists interested in participating in the next ART SHOPPING will be in the spring of 2020. this year's event was quite international with artists from Japan and Inuit sculptors. It's a very well visited and very popular outing for the people from Paris as well as all kinds of foreigners. The food court area in the Carrousel offers a variety of foods, there is even an Mc Donalds. for those who like that. I prefer a Japanese restaurant in the area outside the Carrousel. all year round the shopping center is a nice place to visit.

Quick Eats and Side Entryway to Louvre
Sep 2019 • Friends
Was happy to see that there were a few places for a quick bite to eat near the Louvre. McDonald's is in the food court area. Very convenient on your way to the museum. Alternative entry to museum was less crowded at the time we arrived around (11 ish) on a Saturday morning. We waited in line for security check, it was still shorter than the main entrance.

Underground Shopping
Oct 2019
A very pretty underground shopping center greets you on your way to the modern entrance to the Louvre. Also links to the Metro. A place to buy stuff and some food court places to eat.

Shopping underground
Sep 2019
The small and exclusive shopping center is located on the underground level of the Louvre building on rue de Rivoli connecting with the museum. The variety of shops ranges from practical to luxurious, Maxim's for high quality sweets, designer cleaning equipment, Fragonard perfumes where I found a light weight Paris umbrella for 14 euros. A good place to shop for useful souvenirs of better quality than the Chinese products on every street corner.

Amazing to look
Aug 2019 • Couples
Just about a 100 metres from the Louvre museum. We took a quick sneak peek at this place. The entrance looks like you’re entering some historic building, and then all the gorgeous glam. Very costly merchandise all around. I wonder who buys all these stuffs.

3 bucks for a pee!
Aug 2019 • Couples
Guys, it is a shopping centre thrown in as an afterthought to the museum part. Modern, with overpriced crap that you can buy at home. Don’t bother. Same as anywhere else - designer shops with more staff than customers selling goods that cost too much.
Got caught short and needed the loo. Had a heart attack! Since when does spending a penny cost 3 bucks? Well it does here. If you go down to the carpark level, it drops to A$2. Still too much - but ain’t that Paris all over? They employ a cast of thousands. Since when do you need 4 people to look after a lavvy? Especially one that wasn’t that clean anyway.
Food hall is okay, though the clean up staff are a bit ( ok, a lot) surly, but I guess they don’t pay them much.
Not much else to say. Only went there because that is where they parked the tour bus. Wouldn’t have darkened the doors otherwise.

Fun, fun, fun! Great way to see the city. We rode it 3 times. The gardens, the river and all of the beautiful buildings all at a glance!
