Disappointed with prices
Jun 2021 • Family
We visited one of the food stands and were very disappointed with the overpriced menu. The place itself is, as expected, simple and rustic, the dishes very small and the prices very inflated, way out of proportion. We won’t return for sure.

Enfants Rouges is a not to be missed market

Really a must visit. The food purveyors are exceptional and there are numerous in market places to eat as well as to buy. Very popular with neighbourhood regulars and not too touristy. Not overly large but quaint and rustic. Very enjoyable mix of foodies, flaneurs and favoured customers.

Wonderful market

We went through this market on our visit to Paris. Lots of different vendors, but the crepe vendor is the standout. Must try the crepes made with chickpea flour. They’re delicious.

Original Farmers Market

With a variety of food stands around the perimeter. This market was much smaller than I imagined. And we went the week between Christmas and New Years and a lot of the sands were closed thru January 3rd so keep that in mind when traveling.

Impressive market for fresh seafood and cheeses particularly.
Dec 2019
It was very rainy the day we walked quite a ways to visit the old market which unfortunately diminished the experience. If you are doing any cooking, a great selection. We bought some cheeses which were excellent.

Diverse Market, Wander and Taste
Nov 2019 • Solo
I wandered around this market early on a Friday morning as I was waiting for tour of Marais. It was buzzing with many diverse stalls offering hot food, fruits and veggies, cheese, meats and seafood. It’s the oldest market in Paris, from the 1600’s, and while it’s not huge it is a great place to wander and sample.
Our tour took us back here later in the morning and we did a wine and cheese tasting - excellent. It’s not a destination, but if you’re nearby it’s worth a visit.

Hidden market to visit absolutely
Nov 2019 • Friends
Le Marché des enfants rouges is a hidden gem in Paris. If you have not gotten there yet go! The market is rather small and offer several food service: Lebanese, Moroccan, Italian, burger, creole etc.
One of the stand is very famous for their sandwich but the queue is very long to order one!
After this I suggest you go sit in the parcel in front of the market to eat.

Nice place to try variety foods but ...
Nov 2019 • Couples
It is in a nice area Marais where you can find a good place for cafe and chocolate like Pierre Herme. This market is small but you cannot sit and order food from different stalls. It is a rule so you cannot try couscous from one food stall and chicken from another stall. What a shame....
