About
Get ready to rub shoulders with the locals at one of Paris’ oldest covered food markets. While the Moroccan stand is the most popular, a diverse range of cuisines is on offer, including French, Libyan, and Japanese. There’s something for everyone—pick one and dine in, or take away a selection and enjoy it at the nearby park. The bustling market is open on most days of the week from early morning to mid-afternoon, making it a perfect stop for breakfast or lunch. Pick up fresh produce and artisanal products like cheese and wine, or continue your gastronomical adventure with a food tour. – Tripadvisor

Great food, atmosphere in the Marais
This market has become my go-to place when visiting Paris. The middle eastern place has great shawarmas and falafel. But this visit we discovered the Butcher who grills up steaks on the spot. With accompanying grilled veggies served on a board with fleur de sel sprinkled on top and a nice bottle of red, this was one of our best lunches in all of Paris! Next time we’re in Paris, we’re definitely coming back for another steak!

    A good came back
After a couple of years I came back to this small and typical etnic and street food. I choosed as usual the marocaine and I didn't made a mistake. Tajine and cous cous are very good and the price is cheap. A nice stop in a small hidden edge in the big Paris. To try!

    Variety and Flavor!
A wonderful confluence of produce, narrow alleys teeming with all sorts of cuisine, and freshness abound. Can start form Lebanese to Japanese to Italian to fresh juice to French seafood - I got the Falafel sandwich personally. Great place to walk, survey, and savor!

This is primarily a food court. I went to get produce. Don’t go for that. Very few shops that sell unprepared products. There are decent shops elsewhere in the neighborhood for produce, meat, bread, pasties—and I will return to the area for those businesses-but the covered market was a waste of time. I really wish reviews would be accurate. Setting expectations above what the place can deliver is bad for business.

A food market with food from all different places in the world. We didn’t stop for lunch but saw lots of choices we’d liked to try.

Every day in Paris you can discover new places, for example go to the oldest market in Paris, named after the nearby hospital where orphans were clothed in red, and has been standing since 1628.
Here you can see the warm atmosphere of the people, buy fresh fruits or taste various foods and enjoy the atmosphere

This is Paris's oldest food market and it was quite unimpressive. We got there at around 4 pm on a Saturday, so I'm not sure if that makes any difference. I was expecting a vibrant market with fresh produce, and local foods. Instead, it was just filled with a lot of closed storefronts (maybe due to the French August summer vacation), and overpriced and unappealing restaurants, with people smoking everywhere. We were in and out within 5 minutes. I regret walking the 15 minutes from our hotel to this.

Bustling food court in the oldest covered market building in Paris. Fun atmosphere and good choice of different cuisines. It was difficult to find free seats at one of the food stands. When we finally did, table of the stand we were at was grubby and sticky, cutlery and crockery old and smeary. Food was average. Hygeine standards very iffy.
There are also some "regular market stands": fruit & veg, cheese etc.

At this tiny market there are mostly small restaurants, and only few places where you can actually buy fruit, vegetables, meat etc
