Nice zoo in the heart of Paris

Don't miss the walk from porte doree to get to the zoo, cross the park, its lake and all small attractions. Zoo is well signaled and you just have to follow the path. Don't miss the lamantins and exotic glass serre. Great moments. Bring your sandwhich as the restaurants inside are really bof bof...

We visited Zoo de Vincennes a few month after the refurb. I must say that i enjoyed what I saw. Everything is clean and tidy and animals are kept in amazing conditions. Is safe for small children, but of course you cannot leave them wondering around by themselves. A plus is for everyone who is unde 26 and an EU... More

Loved the zoo with many different species. The giraffes were inside due to winter. Snakes wolves penguins. And many animals i never saw. Very nice parc. Would definetely go there again in summer.

With the kids we visited the zoo of Paris. It is a nostalgic zoo, the old fashion zoo with cages who dates from the end 19th century? The animals are well treated but are in very small cages. Worth to see how a modern zoo was in the past.

Visited in October 2013. Shares a large rea with jardiniere des planters and 2 museums. Enjoyed the various animal exhibits. So did the school children on a field trip visiting the zoo that day. Particularly the panther exhibit seemed to catch their eyes as he prowled back and forth along the glass enclosure in front of them. Inexpensive activity to... More

This zoo has a lot of unusual animals...it is surely a must-see. The only thing is that they don't have an elephant and a bear which is usually the case elsewhere

Last time I visited was last summer and first of all, it's not a zoo, it's a zoological park - meaning that the animals aren't in cages (unless there's an illness or something), therefore yes, you might not see all the species (which is a good thing!) as they have open spaces to walk around and the park tried to... I don't like the idea of keeping animals in cages and I usually feel depressed after visiting them in zoos. Here we actually seen groups of animals playing and running as they have spacious corners and well equipped. We loved the ants.

The parc is amazing: very clean, ver cozy -not very big or limited. The display of the animals is very nice and creative. There is a forest with a lake in front of the zoo lake where u can picnic and the kids enjoy feeding the duck or a ride in the canoe

If you are in need of something easy for the kids, then this is a nice zoo. Not many tourists, mostly locals. This place has been completely renovated and the enclosures are very nice. it's big enough to be enjoyable and not overwhelming.
