This arch is in front of the entrance for the Lourve. It's hard to miss and has some cool looking statues on top. It is much easier to access than the Arch du Triumphe because it isn't located at the center of one of the busiest 7 lane round abouts in Paris.

I was meeting a friend there and after our meeting, i decided to walk back to my hotel. I did not realize how big it is, i got lost from there. i walked for 4 hours just to go back to my hotel. It might sound a little bit crazy, but you will only see its beauty when you are... More

This triumphal arch is located in the Place du Carrousel. It was built between 1806 and 1808 to commemorate Napoleon's military victories of the previous year. The more famous Arc de Triomphe de l'Étoile can be seenwith an unobstructed view west. Not as impressive as the more famous arch, it is an interesting connection that we found after leaving the... he Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel is outside the Louvre. I found it to be more intriguing, beautiful, and easily accessible than the famous Arc de Triomphe outside of Champ Elysees. The only thing is that you cannot go to the top. But it is an amazingly beautiful structure and you can see many Paris landmarks from here. To me,... More

Another beautiful place to visit in France, located in the Place du Carrousel and built between 1806-1807. Would be handy to have some of Napoleons soldiers there at this time to watch out for the pick pockets. Be aware of 1-2 of men coming towards you with knick knacks to sell you. Also keep an eye out for a fellow... More

The Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel is a triumphal arch in Paris, located in the Place du Carrousel. It was built between 1806 and 1808 to commemorate Napoleon's military victories of the previous year. It is located close to the Louvre Museum and is worth a stop for a few snaps.

The word Carrousel refers to the military dressage activities that took place there, hence the name of the location. The Arch was built by Napoleon 1 between 1806 and 1808 to commemorate his earlier military victories. It serves as a gateway of honour to the gardens and beyond along what is a wonderfully straight 9000m line through the obelisk at... More

This is a short walk from when you leave Musee de Louvre and is the smaller Arc's in Paris. This was placed here as the King wanted to have one closer which he could see. Really detailed and worth a pic!

Smaller than the Arc de Triomphe, but just as beautiful! I particularly love the horses atop this arch. Definitely worthy of a visit and photo op!
