If I could rate it higher than excellent I would!

This place is amazing. Once we discovered it we went back every morning. We even bought some and had it vacuum packed to take home. Pick up a baguette across the street at Eric Kayser to go with your cheese. Wish we had something like this back home. We trusted the experts at the store to guide us and they never disappointed with their recommendations. Amazing shop, reasonable prices and would highly recommend stopping by for some of the best tasting cheese you've ever had.

Iconic cheese shop
Dec 2018 • Family
With several selling points around the city, you are never far away from an Androuet cheese shop. Best cheeses around. Do not hesitate to ask for the specials of the season. It might be intimidating for foreigners to walk into a French cheese shop - unlimited choice but a simple question can help direct you.

Extraordinary. We put ourselves in the hands of the proprietor and enjoyed some truly wonderful cheese. Pick up a baguette at the bakery across the street as accompaniment!

Androuet is the Android of cheeses
Jul 2018 • Couples
Androuet are masters when it comes to knowledge of cheeses. I first went to the Androuet cheese restaurant (now closed) in the late 60’s, SIXTY years after they’ve been in the cheese business - it then served nearly 800 varieties of cheese (there are slightly over 1,000 cheeses in France)! Their 9 stores in Paris now sell about 120 varieties, mainly but not exclusively French. On line, you can order even more. The salespeople must have doctorats en fromagerie, for they offer insightful advice based on your preferences, better than those at cheese counters at top gourmet épiceries. They also vacuum-pack, for ease of long-distance transport. There is now a trend to make cheese on which is grafted fruits. Androuet should consider making Époisses or Munster grafted with durian; that would sell well in Asia.

These is a cheese heaven
May 2018 • Couples
Weren’t hungry but really didn’t want to miss this from our trip to Paris this time. Have to say reserving wasn’t necessary there were free seats despite what the site said. But the service was very very friendly and the cheese selection was just right as was the wine list. Certainly worth a try if you like cheese and a lightish diner

Since the Middle Ages...
Apr 2017
Situated behind the Panthéon in the 5th arrondissement, the rue Mouffetard is an ancient market street brimming with treats. Vendors have been peddling their wares here since the Middle Ages, and before that, it was an ancient Roman road and prior, a Neolithic thoroughfare. At the foot of “le Mouffe”—as locals call the neighborhood—you’ll find Androuët, the master cheesemonger. The selection is mouthwatering, and you can get a crash course on France’s hundreds of different cheeses.

WOW !!!!!
Jul 2017 • Couples
We were having lunch literally across the little street by the Musee d'Orsay when I saw this little store ...

When we walked in .. it felt like i had walked into cheese heaven ...

After waiting for some other clients to ask questions and buy cheese it was our turn .. and the gentleman working there took his time in flawless English to explain all the different cheese and flavors ..

What a gem of a store ...

They have wines, crackers, pastas ... just a little of everything and of course all types of French cheese ...

I have now found yet another cheese store that I will return too.

We found Androuet during a food tour we took during our week-long stay in Paris. It's amazing! The selection of cheeses and fruit preserves was outstanding.

a dream!

Stunning assortment of cheese - unlike anything I've seen in Canada or the US. Owners were very helpful in explaining the differences and how they care for the cheese, rotating it in the case based on age.
Lovely shop!

The ultimate french cheese shop
Feb 2017 • Family

The ultimate french cheese shop, the historic Androuet fromagerie has been sourcing and maturing exceptional cheeses since 1909.
Although now owned by big money, the shop is still very, very good. The service is very knowledgeable, and you'll find some special cheeses here that you won't find elsewhere.
