I went to the Epicerie in search of some grappa for an Italian friend (apparently not easily available in Paris). I was overwhelmed when I walked it. It is a treasure trove for gourmands. The wine cave on the lower level is enormous and the sommeliers spent a long time helping people to pick the perfect wine.

I had thought that there is more choice. Yes, the cheese Buffet is wonderful but regarding fruit and vegetables, marmelades and typical souvenirs it was a bit disappointing. The KaDeWe in Berlin has more Choice.

I stopped here the in the morning before my flight back to the US in the afternoon. I picked up chocolates, candies, bread, baked goods, mustards and cheese to bring home. Everything was of the highest quality. Hardest part was fitting it all in the bag. A+

It's a huge store and full of interesting goods. French handmade soaps, delicious bakeries, chocolate, cheese even a big selection of expensive mineral waters. There is a huge wine selection (the biggest that I've ever seen) on the lower floor and they sell wines from all across France and some distilled brewers as well. on the second floor they sell... So many choices of every category of food, spices, jellies, mustards or course, you can't imagine. I've never been to a place like this before. They have several places where you can eat, although limited seating. I had fresh oysters and husband had some shrimp, so very fresh. The ladies were very attentive and helpful with us even though our French... More

This is truly a very grand gourmet market! It was pure joy to go from aisle to aisle and discover so many amazing products and food! Bought many of their jams, chocolates, and cookies to take back home as gifts to loved ones. Wish we were able to bring home many of the impressive selection of cheeses at this market... More

There is no product you can think of which they don't have. From chocolate through cheese to meat, fish cookware and ect. All of the finest products. A bit pricey but worth the visit.

I cannot go to Paris without passing by La Grande Epicerie. Of course some things are way expensive there, but you can also find affordable items. They have the most exclusive things I have ever seen. Best grocery store ever.
