We came to visit the building mainly, but did enjoy the aquarium a lot. The incredibly coloured shrimp at the entry where the highlight for me

We have visited some pretty cool and big aquariums so this one doesn't compare much. However if you have an hour to kill, on a rainy day for example, or/and if you want to show your kids something nice, it's a pleasant enough and relaxing...More

I have a longer review in the palais de la Porte doree site however quickly I did enjoy this, excepting just a few of the tanks were too smal for some of the larger fish and eels in particular. Otherwise, nicely set out, didn't need...More

The outside architecture is outstanding! The building itself is. It's well organized, cheap, and has a lot of varierty of fish and reptiles. There's also a small museam upstairs and a large wall-painted salle which you can access with the same aquarium ticket. Don't forget...More

Way cheaper than cineaqua. Kids loved it. Quiet. Description only in french but that doesnt make visit less pleasant.

Nice surprice! The exotic aquarium has interesting species and beautiful aquaries. Also cheap, and definately good value for money. The setting in the Palace of Porte Doree is amazing. We and our kids (14, 17, 20) all enjoyed it.

Does this attraction require a tour to be booked before going there? Will be visiting Paris in April. If I don't need to book a tour, how much would it cost for the Aquarium tickets? ...hoping that there wouldn't be a long queue. I also noticed that from the hotel we'll be staying in, the closest metro is St. Placide...when I downloaded a Paris Metro guide and entered a helping guide from St Placide to Porte Doree, half way we would have to stop at Porte D'Orleans(metro) and change journey to Porte D'Orleans T 3a (by Tram)...we have never journeyed by Tram in Paris (always by Metro). I guess there's no other way, right? Looking forward for some feedback. Thanks!
