This place was near the hotel I was staying and I always wanted to go into one of the passages of Paris. There are a couple of hotels here, souvenir shops, book store and a couple of cafes. They are not your junky type of souvenir shops but a bit nicer. Found some things for friends at a reasonable price.

You can stroll around souvenir shops, antique photos shop, a great delicacy pastry shop. There is also a great toy shop with vintage character.

I love the passage of Paris and there are many of them and each has it's own merits This one is well known as the Musee Grevin is nearby and Hotel Chopin is housed here. A lovely passage and well maintained.

Went to the Passage Jouffroy specifically to buy a TinTin T-Shirt for our son-in-law, his annual birthday gift from Paris. We had previously always gone to a little corner store in the Marais, but it closed sometime in the past year, so I had to find another source. There is a wonderful toy store - La Boite a Joujoux -... More

We love cruising through the covered passages, widow shopping looking at all the different frontages, good to get out of the weather on a cold, rainy winters day, no excuse to stop shopping.

Visited this arcade several times over the years, and every time I have enjoyed it. Love the little Shop at no 47, if you are a cat lover, you would enjoy visiting this little shop. It sells all things cat. The owner is friendly and helpful. I also love looking into all the other shops, might not be everyone cup... More

This shopping passage seemed run down and uninspired. A lot of the shops were closed (some permanently, some just on that day), but overall I was disappointed to have gone out of my way to get there.

After coming through the Passage Panoramas, cross the street to the Passage Jouffroy. It's a little more lively and there's some souvenir shops there. This was mentioned in the NY Times 36 Hrs in Paris west Bank. Definitely worth a stop by if you are in the area. Near both the Drouot and Grand Boulevards metros.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
