This is an ancient church from many centuries ago. The decorations are simple, the design almost Romanesque. The current community is a cult, I think.

This and nearby Eglise Julien Le Pauvre are two of the oldest churches in Paris. The area around St-Severin is where make-shift classrooms were created in Medieval Paris. Students would sit on bales of hay or "fouarre" in French as in nearby Rue du Fouarre....More

Lovely stained glass, and even a priest taking confessions and giving blessings, there seemed to be much more happening here than most churches. Has public toilet. Set on a charming square. Pretty, peaceful place

An impressive church with a spiritual atmosphere.Worth taking the time to pause a while here,I think this is one of my favourite Paris churches because of the atmosphere and the architecture Next time I'm in Paris I will aim to attend a concert here

Made a quick stop after watching Notre Dame for a minute. Church is pretty nice but I felt it was too tight. Other buildings (restaurants/bars) were too close to it. Good to taking pictures.





This is a church in use, so one must be careful about just walking in, but it is a beautiful blend of old and new. A must see in the Latin Quarter of Paris.
