I recently traveled to Bayeux from here on the inter cities service on SNCF. The station was very nice and obviously recently redone. Obvious for someone who doesn't speak French where to go to get your train etc. One day I will get over the price to use the toilet but that seems to only bother me. The station was... More

The fairly recent renovation of this station makes it the most pleasant and inviting in Paris. Lots of places to shop and eat, so one can linger or wait in comfort. Very busy with trains to the suburbs and the northwest. Lots of Metro lines converge here.

Spacious, airy, and quite beautiful, it has the added advantage of having a 80 shops shopping-mall located inside the building. It makes waiting a lot easier.

Very interesting that they made a mall in a train station, not very many great shops, but for a cold day, grabbing a snack and shopping a bit, it does just fine.

Just across from our hotel, this area is more than just a railway station. There is accress to the intercity rail network as well as the Paris Metro system. Another fun aspect is the rather good shopping mall over three levels within the station precinct. Fashion and food outlets are available as well as car hire and an official taxi... More

If you've not done French railways with a wheelchair St Lazare would be a good introduction. Go to the low desked information desk in front of the main platforms, obviously its better to arrange in advance , but if you give a little extra time. you are welcomed, noted asked to wait, picked up, accompanied and pre boarded according to... Gare St. Lazare is a launching point for tourists who are taking the train to Giverny. Make sure you get here early, because we had to rush trying to navigate the place. The bottom floors are a huge shopping mall. That's nice because we easily found a quick place to grab a cafe and a croissant... but we had to... More
