Go straight to the top floor, where you can see a lovely view of paris rooftops. The entrance is free, so take some photoes and down to the shop (if you can afford it)

When we tried to go on Sunday we found the premises closed. La Fayette which is very close to Printemps was also closed on Sunday. If I were you I will drop an-email to Printemps and check which Sunday you'll be in Paris... More

I think what JA, the OP said, is true. You'll have to ask there. I have no idea and Printemps is Huge. Enjoy the experience while you're finding the answer to your question.
