It is perhaps the ultimate cooking supply store, but it is not what you would expect given that description. Here you find the finest pots, pans, cooking implements of every description and size, fit for the finest chefs in the world...on ancient cramped wooden shelves,...More

This iconic store is not your typical kitchen goods store. It is clearly geared towards the professionals, but can be a pleasure for interested amateurs. I only purchased a single knife, knowing I have no room for serious cookware in my luggage... the place to...More

Having read about this iconic store, I finally made it there. Definitely eye candy and many unusual items that you would not seen in aggregate in typical kitchen stores.

It is a semi-annual pilgrimage but this one was special: To complete my batterie du cusine. Two pieces needed. Egg cookery is next on my list of grand culinary adventures and there is only one way to go on that: Copper! So, after great deliberation...More

My wife is a big Barefoot-Contessa fan, so we had to stop here. They have a pretty impressive supply of restaurant cookware, as well as a somewhat pared-down selection of knives and stuff. We visited for the French/Parisian charm, and bought a couple of paring...More
