I only managed to get into Louvre on my last visit to Paris (hope it wasn’t altogether last!). I really hate long lines, and crowds inside, too. Moreover, I had my mother with me, and at her age she could not really manage standing in...More

You really need to allow lots of time to take in the beautiful displays and art work. It was wonderful to just stand and be surrounded by it all. The Mona Lisa had quite a crowd around her so must be the most popular piece.

If in Paris, do make time to visit the Louvre. Pack in some time, loads of energy and appreciation for the Arts, and the Louvre will not disappoint you.

Use the entrance at the Carrousel du Louvre. Check out the elevator that comes down the staircase from the top.

On Tuesdays when they are closed, is it still crowded outside during sunset? I am a photographer and I'm trying to get pictures without any "people" being in them.

We took pictures at sunrise and sunset. It was somewhat crowded at sunset, but no one out at sunrise. Hope this helps.

Is the daily Guided Tour that you have to purchase tickets for done with headsets? Is there a limit to the size group they take around? I know you can't reserve in advance,

I don't believe that there is a set limit on the number of people in your group. The English Language guided tours are offered at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM. As an option, you can download an App that provides an audio tour. As... More
