Hello I bought my ticket to the museum and got it online, there were no explanation that this wasn’t a ticket or so ever. When I went to the museum they toll me I need it to go to an agency and the the ticket. Not knowing where to go I was walking around and the were no direction. Then some one till me that it was an agency so I saw the guy with the flag and he told me that the check in with him was 15 minutes ago and can’t come with them any more. He even didn’t ask me to come the next day to get into the museum o I lost my money. Very disappointed of that as a tourist. No knowing the area. I think they need to be more mindful with them.

We had tickets for 9am on a Friday morning during a day when the museum was open late. At first we were surprised by the line for ticket holders but it moved quickly and we were inside the museum in less than 20 minutes.

We went straight for the Mona Lisa. Line was less than 5 minutes. You can’t really see it even at the front you are still almost 10 feet away. People just want the picture they don’t even look at the painting which is crazy but I guess to be expected.

The Louvre is very difficult to navigate. The maps are almost useless. The website is totally useless. The galleries are numbered but it’s way up high and hard to see. Hard to get your bearings. The art is phenomenal but I wish they could do a few small things to make the experience better. I wanted to know what rooms some artists were in and just getting that information was exceedingly difficult. Cafe was good and well organized.

I wish I time to go back and see more on another day because honestly you can’t last more than 3 hours here without it being incredibly draining.

The space itself is stunning! Extremely busy especially around the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo. There are so many treasures to see that one day is not enough. The galleries are endless and continue on.

I paid $500 for a semiprivate tour for 4. We left in plenty of time but came out wrong metro exit and didn't get to meeting point until 2:58 for 3:00 tour. Guide had already left! No refund!

You must visit to see the magnitude and beauty of the place. Photos and videos do not do it justice. Buy the tickets in advance. There is an entry time when you buy tickets. Plan to spend at least 1.5 days at the museum. I would try to go to at 9:00 am when it first opens so that you can see more of the museum before the crowds get large. Go to Mona Lisa first thing since lines get long to view it.

Huge place worth the visit... a must when in Paris. Aside from world famous pieces (Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo, etc) the museum showcases other less known but equally amazing masterpieces by Manet, Titian, Ingres... names I never really knew till this visit! Haha! Aside from classic Renaissance painting (all gorgeous they have to be seen to be believed!).

The museum facilities are also really world class. There are digital lockers in the cloakroom (free), audio guides sponsored by Nintendo (with Switch console orientation) although I think their 3d and navigation maps can be improved, loads of benches and chairs for sitting inside the galleries, cafes and many toilets. They really designed it to accommodate the huge volume of tourists.

Would recommend buying tickets ahead online and if you are an individual traveller (I.e. non-group purchase) you can go straight into the building without needing to queue at the pyramids outside. You'll be pressured to see all the showcase piece from the get-go, so if you have time, come back a 2nd day to explore some of the other galleries with equally fascinating exhibits!

The maps are also crap so try to study the layout of the different floors ahead of time especially if you're in a rush!

We came to see the Louvre outside and did not pay to go inside. I can imagine the Louvre is much more spectacular at night as it was disappointing in the day time, it looked much more smaller than in photos.

This is a must-see museum and landmark in Paris. There is a tremendous amount of art in the museum. The Greek collection of statues is fascinating. The lower level boasts a view of the old castle and moat. It’s amazing to see the original walls and blocks of the castle.

The Venus de Milo statue is gorgeous and it is easy to get to her. The French painting section is full of breathtaking art. We had a wonderful visit and highly recommend it.
