We had a lovely evening hiking up the 700ish stairs to the second platform! It wasn't as difficult as we expected. Second floor has the best view but we went to the top because we didn't want to miss out! Overpriced champagne at the top...More

It is truly a spectacular sight at night. We had a room with a view of the tower from our balcony, so that we did not have to spend our time with the mobs of tourists, and we enjoyed the view very much.

This experience was a glorious treat. The price tag was about the same as upscale steak houses like The Famous or Ruth's Chris and is a memory not soon forgotten. The food is superb and the service was outstanding. It rained the night we visited...More

It's nice to go to the top but be prepared to be packed into the elevators to the top like sardines.

Most amazing construction of the world. The elevator is little bit scary for me but the view from the top is 10/10

It seems that no matter where you go in Paris you can see the top of the Eiffel Tower. I took to the streets and walked several miles to the Eiffel Tower. You can't appreciate how huge this structure is until you stand beneath it...More

We were dubious about going to the top of the Eiffel Tower - sure, everyone does it... but, you know, EVERYONE DOES IT! Still, we bit the bullet and headed over and up on our first evening in Paris. And you know? It's worth it....More

Buy some cold bottle of wine and other snacks in the supermarkets close to the Eiffel Tower. There is a Monoprix pretty close. Don’t buy the cold drinks that somer “merchants” sell in Champs de Mars; too expensive, low quality

I was surprised by how long the lines get, if you buy a skip the line you're only getting a fast track to the first elevators. You're only going to bypass the tickets line. There is also a line that builds up going down. It...More

I agree with everyone. If you go to the summit there is a line you cannot bypass. It wasn’t too bad on the day we visited, but we were there in the morning and it wasn’t a particularly nice day out.

Hi Samantha, you’ll stand in line to buy tickets then get in another line to walk up. When I went it was very early so both lines had just opened up. My is to go up then come down and check out the scenery from the ground... More
