It is a large green public park.It is the best park I ever visited. Get Champ de Mars tickets in advance to save both time and money.

Best views of the Eiffel tower is from Trocadero and Champs de Mars park. Refer to my other reviews. Here you can get the classic postcard shot with the green grass and blue skies. Ladies, the floor here is sand and pebbles at some areas. Its a park afterall! You might want to reconsider not walking in sexy stiletto boots.... More

Great place to have a picnic and watch the sunset with the Tour Eiffel in the background. Loved relaxing here at the end of our exploring & watching the Tour light up every hour during the night

Parc du Champ de Mars is a great place to relax with a view of the Eiffel Tower. We always visit each time we are in paris; however, the last time we visited, the Eurocup was hosted in France and the parc was a Eurozone so it was closed off to the public.

This large green space around the Eiffel tower would be crowded on nice days. It was mostly closed in January, but there were still many tourists walking around it to get close to the Eiffel Tower. It is named after the Roman god of war, Mars.

Nice park to walk through with areas for games and dogs to play. An unsung part of the park is the monument to the rights of man and the citizen. This looks like an Egyptian temple and is located on the left hand side about 2/3 of the way between the Eiffel Tower and the Ecole Militaire. Lovely long boulevards... More

Wonderful romantic area to walk in in the summer months, vast grounds to cover and great sculptures all along the park.

Ok, you get nice Eiffel Tower views, but they don't match the views from the trocadero. The parc was filled with charlatans and it seemed a big part of it was under renovation so we didn't enjoy the walk.

This is a nice large park area at the base of the Eiffel Tower. It is a pleasant area to stroll around however the winter season has denuded the area of flowers. Still worth the effort to visit.
