Just like a Parisian
Jan 2020
My husband and I were in Paris and wanted to experience life and cooking of a Parisian. This class was perfect! Perrine was incredibly knowledgeable of the local markets, supportive of our basic cooking skills and overall friendly. We enjoyed an afternoon in her lovely home learning new recipes, techniques and chatting about life. Highly recommend this experience!

Paris cooking class
Jul 2019 • Friends
We have been to many cooking classes (Peru, Italy, and Vietnam) but A World in a Pan in Paris tops them all. Together with one other couple we spent a delightful day with our gracious host Perrine. The morning started with visits to several of her favorite local food vendors to purchase the ingredients that we would use to prepare our lunch that included a variety of cheeses, watermelon gazpacho, fried carrots in butter and honey, fried cherry tomatoes, lemon cod, and a to-die-for chocolate fondant. We retired to Perrine’s charming apartment (with a great view of the Eiffel Tower) to prep and cook the meal. Perrine expertly guided us through the entire hands-on process and offered much useful information about selecting and preparing the ingredients. We then sat down to enjoy the fruits of our labor and engaged in delightful and unhurried conversation with Perrine, a charming French native who is a classically trained culinary wizard. This was hands down the highlight of our stay in Paris.

A taste of Paris
Jun 2019 • Family
My daughter and I took a slightly begrudging gap from Roland Garros (we did not have quarter final tickets when we booked 'A World in a Pan') to meet with Perrine and we are so glad we did! Our charming hostess introduced us to shopping Parisienne style as we wandered from market to market collecting edible goodies that tickled our fancy. With a basket filled with delectable fresh produce we headed back to her gorgeous apartment with a well-appointed, petite but perfectly formed kitchen and that is where the entertainment started. As we were put through our paces, learning lots as we went along we felt like we were in the home of a long- standing friend. After what felt like minutes we sat down to eat the fruits of our labour and were suitably impressed. Alas the Nadal and Nishikori match beckoned us back to RG and so we had to set off before we could settle in for the afternoon. I would heartily recommend A World in A Pan to any visitors to Paris. Perrine's cooking class went well beyond our expectations. Thank you Perrine - until next time...

Baking in Paris! Wonderful Family Experience
Mar 2019 • Family
We were seeking some off the tour guide/book experiences for our 8 year old sons while in Paris. They love to cook and bake with us at home. . We enjoyed getting out into a non tourist neighborhood and getting to spend some time in a Parisian Apartment.
Perrine was amazing. She was attentive and very patient. The recipes were delicious. I would recommend this anyone family or not.

Fantastic Time
Feb 2019 • Friends
We had such a fun time cooking with Perrine! There were four of us friends visiting Paris, a few for the first time. Perrine met us and we all came up with a menu together then we went shopping for the ingredients. We visited the local cheese shop, boulangerie, meat market and local produce market. We learned a ton and had a great time cooking in her Paris kitchen. The views from her dining room are stunning and it was a pleasure spending the day with her. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to all my friends.

Great cooking class and market tour!
Feb 2019 • Friends
We were 4 friends visiting Paris and thought a cooking class would be fun! Perrine did not disappoint! We first went to the cheese store, the butcher, then the market to buy all the ingredients. Back at her beautiful apartment, we prepared a amazing meal and drank wine! Thx so much for being so gracious! Everything was amazing!!

Unique and wonderful way to see the real Paris
Jan 2019 • Couples
I can't recommend these classes enough, my husband and I took the Parisian for a Day and the Puff Pastry classes for our 30th Anniversary trip to Paris. It was the highlight of our Paris trip. To see and experience Paris as the Parisians do and to eat like they do was so fun and educational. Perrine was a delight, extremely welcoming and very flexible. The experience far exceeded my expectations. Wonderful days to take a break from the touristy side of Paris and enjoy a delicious home cooked meal and learn so much while having fun.

Amazing cooking experience
Nov 2018 • Friends
I gave this class to my friend as a gift. There were only 4 of us including Perrine. We did the market tour and she explained details about the cheese excellency rating, how meat and poultry are tracked and fishing zones and where to get the freshest produce and seafood. She also provided some history of markets in Paris. Since we were such a small group, we had some flexibility in choosing the menu which she explained may not happen for larger groups since she has to have menus efficient for her kitchen. It was so nice to cook in a home and experience an apartment in Paris. The apartment and kitchen were spotless, the table was set beautifully and Perrine shared lot of explanation of techniques and tips during the preparation. The class was very hands on. I cook a lot and have taken classes in Mexico, the US and Spain. I can definitely say this was one of the best. Thank you Perrine!!

French cooking techniques for every cook
Sep 2018 • Family
Recent family trip to Paris where we met Perrine and had a fantastic cooking experience. Selecting menu and then purchasing all ingredients at shops in her neighborhood was fun. And the hands on cooking was so informative and easy! i have already reproduced the recipes at home.
Perrine sent great instructions on how to get to her neighborhood on the Metro.
