An open-hearted and rewarding tour, ending with a fabulous meal. We were delighted to discover Little Africa.

After walking through Sacré Coeur, it was a pleasure to enter Noire de Paris. The Little Africa shop is an amazing blend of art, style, community space, history and education. The shop celebrates African heritage in historical and current ways through art in many forms. I was so excited to see the natural hair class in the lower level after Jacqueline shared her passion for the store as a movement for place. I look forward to using the tour guide and coming again to explore the shops in this vibrant and open neighborhood.

This place must be only safe if traveling with a native. I just left Paris and went to little Africa to patronize the businesses of black and brown people, however while videoing to show people that we do exist in Paris I was physically attacked by a women and her family for videoing. These are tactics that they use to distract

Jacqueline was a fun, informative, and engaging tour guide for the sounds, sights, and experiences of the Goutte d’Or neighborhood! She guided us expertly through various shops, explaining everything we saw and placing it in a local, national, and global context. I learned lots of fascinating things about textiles from several regions of Africa and about their colonial history as well as the way the peoples of different countries and cultures have claimed and reclaimed those textiles. It was a comfortable, exciting, and one-of-a-kind experience. I recommend Jacqueline’s tour to anyone who is interested in textiles, history, cuisine, or just learning about how people make a place their own!

As much as we were aware of France's very large African community, we learned so much from Jacqueline Ngo Mpii the Director/Founder of Little Africa in Paris Experiences and Guide Book. We took her Made in the Goutte D'or tour and learned so much about the diaspora and its history in this vibrant community in Paris. We learned about the beautiful Wax Fabrics that are used in the fashions of Africa and how they are being used by young designers in Paris.

I'd recommend this tour and the other experiences offered by Little Africa in Paris as well as their Guide Book to anyone looking to explore Little Africa; the largest African community in the world outside of the continent.

I went on my first tour by Little Africa in Paris, Made in Goutte d'Or.
It is a completely new perspective on Paris and the Goutte d'Or neighbourhood.
Jacqueline is a real sweet person and she has at heart to make us discover what is made in the Goutte d'Or and how African Paris is, a cultural diversity we often miss.
Artisans and Designers of La Goutte d'Or are really talented but still take time to tell us their story and how they come up with those innovative designs. African food tasting is really fun. And finally, the epitome is the visit to The Bachelor, the King of Sap, the flesh and blood of Sap, really refreshing and funny.
