Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful beach with turquoise waters and very little waves. It was crowded and we couldn’t get an umbrella, so now we know to bring our own. We took the 5 bus from Place de Gaulle for 3€ round trip and got off at Palm Beach. Looks like the nearby beaches are also stunning. It was a lovely day.

Our ship docked and we were so close to everything that was going on in this gorgeous place. I have mobility issues so was so happy to be close to the hustle and bustle. We got to see a lovely little market and some cute cafes a lovely square with amazing buildings. We bought some souvenirs and had lunch in a beautiful cafe overlooking the ship.

We arrived on a cruise ship and did the cruise tour to this beach (Porticcio - not the one named as Plage - but no option to review separately!) which is on the opposite side of the bay to where the cruise ships dock.
We then found that there is a ferry that operates from the port of Ajaccio to Porticcio which would have been a much nicer way to arrive and return. Will do it next time.
Porticcio beach is nice and sandy with plenty of local shops and a tourist information site

As Laurence and I decided we needed to do more than lounge by the pool in our hotel we walked from Hotel Les Mouettes to Plage de Marinella on a very hot Sunday. It is a great beach with lots of sea front restaurants - top tip: book ahead as most of the sea view tables were all reserved in advance - but it was very, very busy. If you felt like a sunbed all of them were reserved so you had to find a spot on the sands if you could squeeze yourselves in and as a result it was a little too noisy for our tastes but good for families.

From the port hop on Bus # 5 all the way to Marinella beach,
Clear water and good beach day for swimming and building sand castle.
make sure you bring your own towels with you.
Keep in mind the bus pick-ups frequents are far apart, take note so you don't wait long waiting for the bus by the bus stop.

We were in a cruise and took a taxi here. So glad we did. Extremely relaxing nice little beach.Down the beach you can rent wave runners, kayaks etc. but definitely small and relaxing. Water was clear and calm. Food was great. Being a towel but they have lounge chairs for rent. if you want a quiet relaxing beach experience this is it a great option.

One of the many beautiful beaches around Ajaccio became famous due to the Corsican singer and film actor Tino Rossi whose song “Marinella” (from the movie with the same name) became a huge hit in 1936. The beach is picturesque, great for swimming in the summer and enjoying the nice views out of the season.

This place is simply one of the most beautiful beaches in Ajaccio...clear blue , transparent water, small fish evolving around you...soft white sand...amazing view and odor from "the maquis"=Corsican particular scent due to endemic plants..
