Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Absolutely beautiful scenery and good road, so easy to drive. I think this was the most beautiful inland landscape in Corsica. It doesn't take long. We stopped many places and no charge for parking where we stopped.

Did this drive sitting on a coach and was blown away with the scenery, views and of course the coach drivers skill.

What a route, I’d love to do it in a car! Preferably a British right
Hand drive just for the fun of it....

Took a car ride from Solenzara to Ajaccio. We had small kids so no hiking, but we took a few short walks when we stopped.
Great scenery, mainly before Zonza, but also on the road between Zonza and Ajaccio.
It took about 3 to 3,5 hours excluding stops.

I've been there with the family twice in two weeks we spent in Solenzara. The scenery is fantastic - rocks that are different than in my country, beautiful view to the see and mountains. The small pools of the river offers refreshment after hiking around. Worth to see and experience.

Such a wonderful route with amazing scenery the whole way up to the col, and loads of spots to swim at along the river. There is one passage that is bet narrow and can only fit one car but the rest of the road is fine and in good condition.

The route is leading through the nature places of Corsica. There you can enjoy nice views towards mountains and take photos or just take a rest.

A great ride -- wonderful views, the road itself is very twisty but not too complex and wide enough for two cars to pass in most places.

We did a tour of the Bavella Needles, by taking the GR20 high route variant, then circling back via the GR20. Guide books says 7 hrs round trip, it took us 5 hours plus 1 hour break for lunch.

There was one hairy part on the high route with a steep chained descent, but that was about it. There were some scrambling involved on the ascents part.

Watch out for the route markings as we wasted 30 mins getting lost between the second and third tower. Take plenty of water as some streams have stagnant ponds close by.

Weather can change pretty quickly here as the clouds are blocked by the towers. When we trekked, we have intermittent fog which meant we had to slow down due to poor visibility.

The high route was definitely more scenic as you visit each of the towers (needles), they offered beautiful panoramic views, nearby villages can also be spotted.

The GR20 loop back was relatively level through forest areas. We noticed what looked like birds nest on the pines, intriguingly they turned out to be were caterpillar nests. Thousands of them! Being lower down we didn't have views as the first half of the trek, besides the intrigue of the nests, frankly this was the most boring and longest bit of the trek.

In hindsight if we were to do it again, we would have returned via the variant route again.

We started the trek at 11am, which was actually quite late, but would recommend to start earlier if you think you're going to take more time, plus it would be cooler than hiking in the midday sun, probably a reason why we blitzed it in 5 hrs.

Happy trekking.

Excellent road to do with a motorcicle!
Just be careful with the wild animals coming from the forest ...
If you can ... stop at Zonza for a coffee or lunch. Very Nice palce to stay and enjoy the view.
